With its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and quaint small-town atmosphere, Pacific Grove is a hidden gem on the Monterey Peninsula that beckons travelers seeking a peaceful retreat.
The town's most famous natural attraction is the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, where thousands of monarch butterflies congregate in the eucalyptus trees from October to February. This magical spectacle is a must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. Just a short distance away, the rugged coastline of Asilomar State Beach provides breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, along with opportunities for tide pooling, beachcombing, and sunset watching.
Pacific Grove's historic downtown is lined with Victorian-era homes and buildings, adding to the town's old-world charm. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll down the streets, browsing through unique boutiques, antique shops, and art galleries. The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History offers an in-depth look at the local flora and fauna, as well as the cultural history of the area.
Adjacent to Pacific Grove is the world-renowned Pebble Beach, with its iconic 17-Mile Drive, a scenic road that meanders through coastal forests and alongside dramatic oceanfront vistas.
