The hot tub is tucked into the boulders with a small deck, a good spot for sunset soaks and stargazing. A fire pit sitting area and a second seating area with a coffee table work for sunrise coffee or evening conversation. A gas BBQ and bocce ball round out the space. -Living Area- The main living area has vaulted ceilings, large windows and a smart TV, and it opens to the dining room. The kitchen flows into a fireplace nook with a wood-burning fireplace. A record player with records, board games and books are on hand. -Kitchen and Dining- The fully stocked kitchen pairs original wood cabinetry with new stainless steel appliances and flows into the fireplace nook and dining area. Coffee from Joshua Tree Coffee Co. is provided, and a gas BBQ is outside. -Bedrooms and Bathrooms- La Luna Azul has two bedrooms, each with a king bed and windows facing the desert, and one bathroom with a shower. -Surrounding Area- La Luna Azul is about 5 minutes from Más o Menos for coffee, breakfast or cocktails, and about 10 minutes from downtown Joshua Tree. The West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is about 18 minutes by car. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there are a few supply closets that are locked that house supplies for the rental. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The hot tub is serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Camera- For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub area. -Firewood- We do not provide firewood for the indoor fireplace. Firewood bundles are sold at local grocery stores. -Check-in and Check-out- Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability and our cleaning schedule. -Late Check-out- Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter. -Check-out Tasks- Before you leave, please wash any dirty dishes or load and start the dishwasher, place used towels on the bathroom floor, leave used beds unmade, turn off all lights, check for personal items, and lock all doors and windows. No other cleaning or trash removal is required unless noted elsewhere in this listing. -Lost and Found- Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address. -Quiet Hours- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep voices and music at a respectful level outdoors at all times, and turn off all music, including portable and vehicle audio, during quiet hours. Guests are responsible for any noise fines, and a minimum $1000 fine applies to any noise citation. -Smoking- Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes and cannabis, is not permitted inside the home. Outdoor smoking must be at least 20 feet from doors and windows, and all smoking materials must be fully put out and thrown away. Evidence of indoor smoking will result in smoke-removal charges and a $1000 fee. -Visitors- Only guests listed on the reservation may stay at or visit the property unless we approve it in advance, and the total number of people on the property may not exceed the listing’s maximum occupancy. Please message us before inviting any visitors. -Parking- Please park only in the driveway or other designated parking areas on the property. Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines. -Restricted Areas- Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered. -Hot Tub Care- Please shower before using the hot tub, and do not add bath products, oils or bubble bath to the water. Glass is not permitted in or near the water, and pets are not allowed in it. Please keep covers in place whenever the water is not in use. Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher. Misuse that requires extra cleaning, draining or reheating will be charged to the guest, and leaving a cover off may result in a servicing fee of at least $100. -Photoshoots and Events- Events, parties, weddings, photoshoots, filming and other commercial use of the property are not permitted without our written approval in advance. If you would like to use the home for a photoshoot or production, please message us before booking, as additional fees apply. Unauthorized commercial activity may result in a penalty of up to $10,000 and termination of the reservation without refund. -Cell Service- Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property. -Damage Waiver Policy- Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
