Because the cabin is not surrounded by thick forests of lodgepole pine trees, it provides 360 views of the vast mountain peaks and luscious forests. The open plains fill with wildflowers in the summer months and turn a lovely golden hue in the fall. Wildlife also frequents this area including coyotes, moose, elk and sandhill cranes. This private area of homes comes with its own secure boat ramp, so you won’t have the hassle of fighting to get the boat in the water to throw the line out. There is also a private park in the neighborhood for the little ones to enjoy. Horseback riding is only 1 mile from the cabin. Most importantly, the cabin is only a short clear 34 mile drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, a famous destination for most visitors. If Yellowstone isn’t your only destination this area of Island Park has it all. Centennial Shores is also just 20 minutes north of Harriman State Park. From Centennial Shores there is unparalleled access to fabulous summer (fishing, hiking, horseback riding, biking, 4-wheeling), and winter (snowmobiling, skiing, skating) activities, with access to boat docks and launches, and a park for swimming, picnics and fishing.
Lakeside Lodge is just on the other side of the lake, with delicious meals and a fun local bar. The lodge can also help you out with gear rentals such as kayaks, ATV’s, snowmobiles and bikes during your stay.
