Welcome to the Indian Beach Sapphire Shores neighborhood of Sarasota, one of Sarasota’s most desirable neighborhoods. The Alameda is a rare treat for one of the best locations in Sarasota off the keys. Drive down the canopy lined streets to this adorable 2 bedroom, 2 bath private recently refurbished mid-century bungalow. The mid-century detail of this home has been beautifully restored, from the glimmering terrazzo floors to original mid-century bathrooms.
The entrance to the Alameda House is a large wrap around shelled driveway with tropical landscaping. Park in the covered carport for 1 car and enter the home through the solid wood front door to the cozy living room. The living room features well maintained eclectic furnishings that crosses modern and mid century design styles. The living room features a large window opening to the front yard and 2 sliding glass doors that open up directly to the backyard and provide lots of natural light and air into the property.
To the left of the living room is the wood crafted dining room table for 4, and the fully stocked kitchen. To the Right of the living room is the hallway leading to the two bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom is located in the back part of the house and features a king-size bed, plush bedding, plenty of clothes storage, a reading nook, and the full master bathroom. The guest bedroom is in the front of the house and features a queen bed. The full guest bathroom is located directly off of the guest bedroom.
Enjoy the warm summer nights in the private backyard space with outdoor seating for 6, a propane firepit, and a propane grill. The backyard is surrounded by large hickory trees, and has fun edible surprises of Surinam cherries, and mangoes when in season.
The Alameda House comes with two kayaks for those looking for water adventures. The closest launching spot would be located 2 blocks away (roughly a ¼ mile) at Indian Beach overlooking Sarasota Bay and the Inter-coastal Waterway. Indian Beach is one of the local’s favorite evening areas to enjoy with a glass of wine to watch one of Sarasota’s famous sunsets.
The Alameda does welcome boaters to bring their boats with them to park at the property. The area directly to the left of the driveway is landscaped with rocks and can accommodate a boat up to 30’. The Sarasota boat ramps are located less than a half-mile from the property and are very easy to access.
