Charm, privacy, style, comfort and convenience -- it’s all yours in this one-of-a-kind Chatham in-town farmhouse.
The location is ideal. Sandy Lighthouse Beach is a short walk across Main Street. Walk the other way on Main Street for 10 minutes to find the shops, restaurants, movie theatre, galleries and feel-good vibe of Chatham Village town center. Not to mention the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
Back at the farmhouse, the secluded, half acre includes a beautiful grassy yard, a large in-ground heated pool, a comfy seating area with umbrella shaded tables, a built-in grill and gas firepit as well. The pool area includes a freestanding pool house where you’ll find a bedroom, private bath and a sitting area. And the garage has been converted into a game room with a flat screen smart TV, couch, extra refrigerator, and ping pong table.
Walk into the expansive kitchen and dining area, and you realize that the special allure of this home is its flawless blend of 19th century charm and modern furnishings and features. Contrast the exposed beam ceiling here with the totally cutting edge kitchen with its island seating and Miele appliances. But keep in mind that as an older home, the ceilings are lower in some places than those of a more recently built home.
The main level also includes a comfortable living room with a smart TV, den, half bath and laundry. And there is an enclosed outdoor shower. No Cape vacation is complete without an outdoor shower!
Upstairs you’ll find a total of three bedrooms, the king primary bedroom with full bath en suite. There is also a queen bedroom upstairs with peaks of the water at Lighthouse Beach. You’ll also find the “bunk room” that houses a bunk bed plus two twin beds. There is another full bath located on the second level.
This home has split unit air conditioning and a couple of window units, which effectively cools its 2,400 square feet of living space and allows individual temperatures to be set. There’s also a SONOS sound system and high-speed Wi-Fi, of course.
It’s unusual to find a spacious family compound such as this in the heart of Chatham Village, so close to everything that makes Chatham the vacation destination of choice for so many families.
