Stockham Farm, Dulverton

The Victorian Wing at Stockham Farm, Dulverton, is a recently refurbished, completely self-contained property offering comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 4 guests in two bedrooms. Once part of a farmhouse dating back to 1750, it now has its own front door, private garden and plentiful parking, set within a stunning Exmoor location with panoramic views across the farm and Exe Valley. The characterful sitting room features underfloor heating and an inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, along with comfy sofas, bookcases, board games and a smart TV. A bespoke kitchen-breakfast room with a dining table overlooks the orchard garden and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, ceramic hob and fan-assisted oven. The bathroom has a power shower over the bath, toilet and hand basin, with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. Upstairs, two cosy bedrooms enjoy lovely views across the paddocks to the hills beyond: one with a king-size bed and one with a super-king bed that can be made up as twins on request. Bed linen and towels are provided, and a welcome pack of home-made scones, clotted cream, jam, milk and fresh flowers awaits guests on arrival. Heating, electricity and good wifi are all included. Outside, guests have exclusive use of a pretty orchard garden with table, chairs, barbecue and fresh herbs, plus access to a large lawn with further garden furniture opposite the cottage. The farm’s 35 acres are also there to explore, home to horses, sheep and wildlife including Red Deer. Ample parking is available on the private drive for three or more cars, right beside the front door. Dogs are welcome (maximum two, no puppies under 12 months) for a supplement of GBP 30 per dog, and cats are also accommodated, though four resident Jack Russell terriers are not used to cats.
