The Granary, Luxborough

The Granary is a detached barn conversion finished to a high standard, sleeping up to 4 guests (plus cot), and rated 4 star Gold for self-catering by Visit England. You enter through a boot room with ample space for shoes and coats, leading into an open-plan living space with charming beams, an exposed stone wall, and three south-facing windows overlooking the farm and countryside. The lounge area has solid oak floors, a TV with Sky, Freeview, DVD and CD player, plus wifi and superfast broadband throughout. The kitchen and dining area is well-equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Downstairs are two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room and toilet. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request, though only a bottom sheet is supplied for the cot. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are all provided, and guests are asked to bring their own beach towels for day trips. A small welcome supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cake is left for arrival, along with cleaning materials and toilet rolls. The property is fitted with oil-fired central heating and underfloor heating in the bedrooms, keeping it warm throughout, with electricity and heating costs included in the price. Outside, there is an enclosed patio directly outside the property, accessed via French doors from one of the bedrooms, furnished with table, chairs and a barbecue. An EV charging point is available on site. There is one allocated parking space for The Granary. The property sits on a working sheep farm, with free-range hens, Indian Runner ducks, and deer often seen around the grounds. Equestrian facilities are available on a DIY basis from March to October, with modern stabling in a converted American Barn, a wash-down area, secure tack room, and turnout paddocks; charges are GBP 25 per horse per night for stabling and turnout, or GBP 15 per night for turnout only.
