Nestled on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Grasonville provides a picturesque setting that's ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, seafood lovers, and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.
One of the main attractions in Grasonville is the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC), a 510-acre wildlife preserve that offers a haven for birdwatching, kayaking, and hiking. The preserve's diverse habitats, including tidal marshes, wooded areas, and meadows, are home to a variety of wildlife, making it a perfect spot for nature photography and environmental education.
Boating and fishing are also popular pastimes in Grasonville, with several marinas and charter services available for those looking to explore the waterways. The Chester River and Prospect Bay provide excellent opportunities for catching rockfish, blue crab, and other local species, while also offering stunning views of the bay's serene landscapes.
For golf enthusiasts, the area boasts the Queenstown Harbor Golf Links, featuring two 18-hole championship courses that are as beautiful as they are challenging. The courses offer sweeping views of the Chesapeake Bay and are surrounded by lush wetlands and native wildlife.
Grasonville's proximity to the Chesapeake Bay also means that seafood is a highlight of the local cuisine.
