Nye Beach Retreat
This lovely Newport home in Nye Beach is an amazing way to enjoy an oceanfront location without staying in a crowded hotel. Here, you will have plenty of space, a full kitchen, entertainment options, and fantastic ocean views from the windows. You may even see a whale!
Located in the desirable Nye Beach part of town, this home is perched right next to the ocean and within an easy walk of several restaurants and shops. To get to the shore, simply head a little more than a block north, or stroll down to the Nye Beach Turnaround. From there, you can spend your time searching for interesting rocks, building sandcastles, or simply enjoying the views. If you work up a hunger, the fantastic Chowder Bowl at Nye Beach and Panini Bakery are just a quick walk up from the beach.
Step inside this home to find a comfortable living area, complete with comfortable seating, a flatscreen TV, and windows with fabulous views of the sea. Entertainment options include WiFi access, cable TV, a DVD/VCR player, a library of movies, and board games. You will also have a laundry room, which will come in handy if anyone’s clothes get a little sandy while playing on the beach.
Just past the living room, you will find a dining area and a full kitchen complete with all the appliances and tools you may need to cook up meals during your stay. When it’s time to head to bed, you and your guest will retreat to a nautical-inspired bedroom with a comfy queen bed. There is also a double bed and even a sofabed in the living room if needed.
Outside, a deck area is a perfect place to stand or sit and watch the sunsets every evening. You will have a front row view of one of the most spectacular sights as the sky turns pink and the sun slowly sinks past the ocean.
This home is a perfect place for a small family, two couples traveling together, or even a small group of friends to enjoy a wonderful vacation together. With such a magnificent location, you can easily walk around this part of town, but if you decide to go for a drive, you may want to check out the Oregon Coast Aquarium (on the south side of town) or head up to charming Depoe Bay to peruse the souvenir shops and watch for whales.
Come to Newport and enjoy a slow-paced, relaxing, and beautiful vacation in this oceanfront home!

About the area
Newport, Oregon, is a delightful coastal city that offers a variety of attractions for visitors. It's known for its breathtaking natural beauty, with expansive scenic beaches and the prominent Yaquina Head Lighthouse serving as a striking feature against the Pacific Ocean backdrop. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and wildlife spotting. You might even have the opportunity to see gray whales during their migration season.
The city's maritime heritage is apparent in its historic bayfront district where fishing boats are frequently seen coming and going, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Here you can discover a range of shops offering local crafts and fresh seafood restaurants presenting the day's catch.
Newport houses the well-regarded Oregon Coast Aquarium, which offers an engaging insight into marine life in the Pacific Northwest. Its exhibits showcase a variety of species from sea otters to sharks. For more hands-on marine experiences, Hatfield Marine Science Center provides educational programs and exhibits about marine science and ocean conservation.
For those interested in history, Newport's Historic Nye Beach neighborhood features charming streets lined with Victorian homes, boutique shops, art galleries, and eateries. It's an excellent place to wander around while immersing yourself in local culture.
In terms of food experiences, Newport certainly doesn't disappoint. The city has numerous restaurants serving everything from locally sourced seafood to international cuisine. And while Rogue Ales & Spirits has its headquarters in Newport - it was originally founded in Ashland - it still offers tours and tastings at its Newport location.
Beyond coastal activities, Newport also boasts attractions inland like the Lincoln County Historical Museum located in the central part of town. Additionally, it provides amenities such as hotels and shopping facilities to cater to tourists' needs.
In summary, Newport merges natural beauty with cultural richness making it an appealing destination for all types of travelers - whether they're seeking outdoor adventures or prefer exploring local history and culture.
