Eagle Summit is all about panoramic, over the top, mountain views! This luxury modern mountain lodge is Smoky Mountain Craftsmanship and Artistry at its best! Located in the most popular, upscale, Summit at Bluff Mountain Resort. Every day that the blue haze lifts you will see the sun rise over the National Park behind Greenbriar Pinnacle and Mt. LeConte and watch it set behind Thunder Mountain and Blue Rock in the west. You will be looking down on the Summit Resort from the back decks.
Located just minutes from action packed Pigeon Forge. It is a beautiful, easy drive. The soaring walls of glass let every room enjoy our most famous, Mt. LeConte. You can even see Clingmans Dome from the hot tub! The lodge is anchored by a 2 story river stone fireplace and a hand-crafted copper antler chandelier casts a warm hue on the vaulted cypress ceiling. You will know you have escaped civilization! The covered timber frame log porch will allow you to sit in nature from daybreak to late in the night, rain or shine, watching the redtail hawks. We have even spotted a golden eagle riding the high mountain winds on the top of the Bluff Mountain. Or you might want to meander your way down the flagstone rock path to the fire pit with friends and family for smores; making memories that will last a lifetime. You will love the privacy of Eagle Summit located at the end of a cul-de-sac on a pinnacle above the Summit Resort. As you step out of your car it will be like stepping back in time, the large stone columns, the wide stone steps, the huge hand-hewed logs, the railings that were crafted by our woodworkers who have for generations made unique fences that held their animals and surrounded their cabins. This lodge has an old world, European feel that is a nod to our ancestors who settled this spacious mountain valley. A copper eagle windvane will always tell you what direction the mountain breeze is blowing. The twinkling lights that welcome you on the cypress, cedars and pines will cause your senses to slow down, take a breath, you are on Vacation! The large lanterns, the hand-crafted iron work, the huge antique photographs that grace the walls taken at the turn of the century, by visionary photographer, Jim Thompson who was using them to campaign in Washington for a Smoky Mountain National Park (1924). The family of Jim who are still in the area developing photographs, made it possible to enlarge and share with you these unique photographs, tinted by his wife. This lodge is designed to inspire you in the same spirit! Your kids will love the cozy tent and indigo blue night sky and happy moon in their bunkroom; complete with a play set of fire logs, fire and rocks to arrange the perfect campfire. You might even have a child or two fall asleep "camping"! 6 little twin beds hold the younger ones!
But the crowning fun of Eagle Summit is the heated pool with a game room extraordinaire as a backdrop. The luxurious lazy river pool is large and a total blast whether just floating, or playing a rousing game of hide n seek, parents will enjoy the lounge with a view! And soon as the young or young at heart are seeking other adventures, there is the arcade bar that has a Big Buck Hunting game, a multi-cade game with 1,000 games, an electronic pinball machine or the iconic favorite, Golden Tee PGA Deluxe game or perhaps you want to challenge your family to a rousing game of pool, on your regulation table, while of course watching your favorite football game on the four screens above you. Why watch one when you can watch four! No sports bar has anything on your private entertainment center! There is also poker- or uno! Definitely no one in your party will be left out! There are outdoor games set up on the oversized deck and of course there is a hot tub once you need a bubbling jetted break. It is just steps away.
Cooking is a blast when you have a view of the blue haze rising on the mountains! The oversized chef’s well stocked kitchen is perfect for large gatherings with its huge island to lay out a barbecue spread like no other!
There are three covered porches since we are known for our quick rain-showers in the afternoon, all have rockers, stools, Adirondack chairs and benches. Places to share, places to curl up by yourself with a book, this lodge is made to enjoy a large group but also be quiet and peaceful. The large, covered porch has a table for 6, and a bar for 8, and fireplace hearth for 4 more; the perfect place to celebrate a Birthday or just Celebrate! There are also two levels of decks with extended areas to enjoy corn-hole.
But many of our guests enjoy just chilling in their spacious quiet rooms that all have their own baths, every tile wall is hand-picked, hand designed, all bathroom vanities are unique and different, handcrafted and each special, every faucet is a delight to the eye and every sink is a different type of rock or a hand hammered copper basin. Two bedrooms have a high porch with rocking chairs, life is good! This lodge is made for fun, inspiration and relaxing!
You will find the parking generous and flat allowing you to set up a pickle ball net we have saved for you along with paddles. There is no end to ways to refresh and relax!
