A car is recommended for exploring Island Park and nearby Yellowstone. The lodge offers ample parking, and most attractions are just a short drive away.
The two closest major airports are Bozeman, MT and Idaho Falls, Idaho. There is also a small West Yellowstone Airport.
*Roads are maintained but wind & snow during the Fall, Winter and Spring can be unpredictable. We HIGHLY recommend an AWD vehicle if traveling during these seasons.
