The Nishi Building is thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind and holds an energy efficiency rating of 8. Its solar-passive design, natural cross-ventilation, and thermal mass insulation work together to keep the apartment cool throughout summer without relying on artificial air conditioning. During winter, the apartment naturally retains warmth, meaning heating is only required on particularly chilly Canberra nights.
BEDROOM:
The bedroom features a queen-sized bed topped with professionally cleaned and pressed linen, along with a Hisense 40" Smart TV. It also has plenty of wardrobe space for your luggage. Please note that the TV does not have free-to-air (local) channel access available.
BATHROOM:
The bathroom has a shower and toilet. We provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and body wash. You will need to re-stock depending on usage frequency and length of stay.
KITCHEN:
You can use the kitchen if you’re craving a home-cooked meal. While you stay you will have access to the following:
- fridge/freezer
- stovetop
- microwave
- oven
- electric kettle
- toaster
- crockery and cutlery
We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays.
LIVING ROOM:
The living room has a Samsung 65" Smart TV, which you can use to access your Netflix and YouTube accounts. Note that we don’t provide Netflix, YouTube, and other online streaming platforms subscriptions, so you will have to use your own account.
LAUNDRY AREA:
A washer and dryer are available to use, as well as an iron and ironing board.
COMMON AREA:
The Nishi lobby features a welcoming fireplace, perfect for enjoying a favorite book and a glass of Canberra red. Within the complex, you’ll also find Monster Bar and the Palace Electric Cinema, offering convenient dining and entertainment just steps away.
PARKING:
The parking garage can accommodate one car. Additional paid parking options include Phillip Law Street at $6 for 2 hours and Wilson Carpark, a public parking area, at $5 per hour.
Check-in details will be sent two days before your arrival. Access codes will be provided 4 hours before check-in to keep your booking secure.
Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee. Losing the key set or leaving it inside the apartment will incur a minimum of $355 charge.
Your keys are stored in the "Capital Mart" at 21 Marcus Clarke Street, New Acton.
I am available mostly through booking platform messaging but I give privacy to my guests. If there is an urgent issue, you can always call me.
