Come and sit a spell on our front porch swing while only being a short walk to some of the best restaurants and shops in Columbia. Our home comfortably sleeps 8 and has king beds, a stocked kitchen, a fully fenced-in backyard, and lots of space for everyone to hang out. You will be a short drive to Williams-Brice Stadium, USC campus, Riverbanks Zoo, the State House, Congaree National Park, & Sesquicentennial State Park. Or, stroll over to Weco Biergarten, Cafe Strudel, Riverwalk Park, and more!
Our urban farmhouse is full of little touches that will make you excited to come home after exploring the nearby national parks, visiting the University of South Carolina, and enjoying everything Columbia has to offer. We have charging stations near every bed, plenty of space to store your belongings, a big dining room table for meal-time or game night, and two TV set-ups so there’s no need to fight over the remote. For liability reasons, we can only allow the number of guests confirmed in the reservation on the property at any time during your stay (maximum 8 guests).
Quiet hours are between 10pm-8am.
And, for everyone’s safety, there are two security cameras on the outside of the home. There is also a noise monitoring device that will detect decibel levels only inside the home. Any tinkering or manipulation of these devices will cause your trip to be canceled immediately and without a refund. There are no cameras inside the home.
You will have complete access to the entire house including free on-site parking for 2 cars and a private fully fenced-in backyard. Only you and your registered guests will have access to the space during your stay.
We will stay out of your way, but will also be available to help in case you need anything. Whether it be best places to dine, top things to see and do during your stay, or fun activities to get away from it all, we can point you in the right direction. Our home is located in West Columbia, SC in an area affectionately called “the Avenues.” West Columbia, or WeCo, is a vibrant neighborhood directly across the river from downtown Columbia. It is minutes from USC campus, Williams-Brice Stadium, and the South Carolina State House. WeCo has miles of beautiful riverside walking trails, delicious restaurants, the Riverbanks Zoo, and two awesome beer gardens!
Columbia was founded in 1805 and is the State capital of South Carolina. In more recent years, it has seen a boom in its arts culture, including its own film festival that is ranked in the top 20 film festivals in the US. Over 14 million people visit Columbia every year.
Often times, you may hear Columbia being referred to as Soda City. This comes from the US postal code abbreviation for the city, Cola. From Cola came Soda City, a moniker which locals have embraced. Welcome to Soda City!
Columbia is very much a driving town with tons of parking everywhere. If you don’t have a car, there is Uber and Lyft which are easy to come by in our area. If you do have a car, free on-site parking for 2 cars is available at our house.
