Spacious yet intimate, this home offers a completely different Property Manager experience: perfect for reconnecting, sparking imagination, sharing family time, or embracing a sense of adventure in the desert. -The Bunker Speakeasy- The most unforgettable feature of The Bunker House is its namesake, the original underground bunker, accessed by a steep staircase that leads into a long, cinematic hallway before opening into the bunker itself. Reimagined as a private speakeasy-style retreat, this hidden space sparks imagination the moment you step inside. It’s a place to gather away from the rest of the house, play music, tell stories, and let creativity wander. Mysterious, playful, and unlike anything else in the desert, the bunker is especially magical for kids and groups, offering a sense of adventure and discovery that turns your stay into an experience. -Outdoor Amenities- Set on open desert acreage, the outdoor space offers uninterrupted views in every direction, with especially breathtaking south-facing vistas toward the national park. A private hot tub invites long soaks under expansive skies, a cowboy tub soaking pool is perfect for cooling off after exploring the national park, while the wood-burning fire pit beneath a pergola sets the scene for evenings filled with conversation and stargazing. Sunsets are dramatic, nights are deeply starry, and the quiet surroundings make the entire property feel immersive and serene. -Living Area- The living area is spacious and moody, channeling speakeasy-inspired vibes with high wood ceilings and a rich, layered aesthetic. A large leather sectional anchors the space, complemented by a cowhide rug, ottomans, and built-in arched shelves that glow with character. A large smart TV and record player make it ideal for cozy nights after exploring, while natural light and warm textures keep the room feeling bright and inviting during the day. -Kitchen & Dining- The chef’s kitchen is bold and dramatic, featuring black cabinetry and appliances softened by an abundance of natural light streaming through original windows. Fully equipped for serious cooking, it includes quality cookware, ample prep space, and a bar nook perfect for gathering. A drip coffee machine is stocked with coffee from Joshua Tree Coffee Co for easy mornings. The open dining area sits just beside the kitchen, creating a seamless flow that’s ideal for group meals, shared cooking, and lingering dinners that stretch into the night. There’s a BBQ provided outdoors, perfect for grilling up dinner. -Bedrooms & Bathrooms- The home offers three thoughtfully designed bedrooms, all located just off the dining area for easy flow and privacy. The primary bedroom features a king bed and access to the backyard, and sits near the main bathroom, which is not ensuite but only a short walk away through the dining area. Two additional bedrooms each feature queen beds and share a beautifully designed bathroom connected between them, highlighted by the home’s signature curved architecture. A convenient half bath is located off the living room. With a total of 2.5 bathrooms, the layout balances privacy and comfort for groups and families alike. -Surrounding Area- Located in North Joshua Tree, the home is just minutes from downtown while still feeling deeply private and expansive. Joshua Tree National Park offers world-class hiking, iconic rock formations, and unforgettable desert scenery. Please note that there is a few supply closet off the garage/game room that is locked that house supplies for the rental. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area. -Cowboy Pool and Hot Tub Service- The cowboy pool and hot tub are serviced TBA, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Dogs- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Local Experiences: Relax, Adventure, Connect- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Cameras- There are security cameras facing the driveway and front outdoor areas for security and in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances.
