This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom ranch home has been remodeled with bohemian styling and is designed to make you feel both inspired and at ease. Spacious, sunlit interiors provide plenty of room to spread out, while cozy corners invite moments of reflection or togetherness. Outside, the property offers stunning views of Joshua Tree’s rugged beauty, framed by Joshua trees and a vast expanse of desert sky. With direct access to the National Park, you can enjoy hiking trails, wildlife, and solitude just steps from your door. It’s the perfect retreat for families, groups of friends, or anyone seeking a peaceful escape. -Living Area- Overlook Joshua Tree boasts two beautifully designed living rooms, each catering to a different mood. The main living room is a cozy gathering space ideal for movie nights, with an electric Malm fireplace, a large TV and plush seating that invites you to sink in and relax. The second living area offers a more reflective experience, featuring a record player to set the perfect vibe, a telescope for gazing at the stars or distant desert vistas, and expansive windows that flood the space with natural light. Both areas are designed for comfort and connection, giving you options to enjoy quiet moments or share experiences with your group. -Kitchen & Dining- The fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s dream, complete with all appliances, cookware, and essentials for preparing meals during your stay. The open design makes it easy to cook and socialize at the same time. Inside, a spacious dining table provides the perfect setting for family meals, laughter, and good conversation. Outside, another large dining table invites you to enjoy al fresco dining under the bistro lights and vast desert sky. -Bedrooms & Bathrooms- Each bedroom at Overlook Joshua Tree has been thoughtfully styled for rest and relaxation. The primary bedroom features a luxurious king bed, a sectional sitting space to cozy up and read a good book, a desk workspace for working from home, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed and smart TV for private movies. The third bedroom includes double bunk beds, creating a fun and cozy space for kids or friends, as well as an additional desk workspace. Both bathrooms in the home are designed with comfort and convenience in mind, featuring shower-tub combos, making it easy to rinse off and unwind after a day of exploring. -Outdoor Amenities- Step outside into a private oasis that truly sets Overlook Joshua Tree apart. The centerpiece is the in-ground pool and spa, surrounded by a wooden deck with plush pouf loungers and cozy seating areas where you can soak up the sun or unwind beneath the stars. The property’s direct access to Joshua Tree National Park means you can set off on an adventure right from your doorstep, exploring trails, wildlife, and the quiet beauty of the desert. -Surrounding Area- Overlook Joshua Tree is perfectly positioned to immerse you in the natural beauty and unique charm of the area. Backing directly onto Joshua Tree National Park, the property provides immediate access to trails, wildlife viewing, and the park’s stunning vistas. Just a short 10-minute drive brings you to the park’s West Entrance, where you can explore its famous rock formations, hiking paths, and breathtaking views. Despite its secluded feel, the home is also close to the vibrant art scene, shops, and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree, ensuring you have the best of both worlds. At night, the property transforms into a stargazer’s paradise, with incredibly clear skies and minimal light pollution offering unforgettable views of the Milky Way. -Amenity List- Your stay comes complete with every amenity you’ll need for a healing and relaxing escape: ►In-ground heated pool and hot tub (please note there’s an additional fee to heat the pool during the cooler months, no fee to heat the hot tub). ► Gas fire pit ► Gas BBQ ► Indoor and outdoor dining tables ► Fully stocked kitchen with tons of spices, olive oil, utensils & cookware ► Drip coffee machine & French press ► Coffee provided, as well as a variety of sugar, creamer & a variety of tea ► Smart TVs in living room and second bedroom ► Record player ► Board games & books ► Hammock ► Cornhole ► Carport parking ► Zoom-ready Wi-Fi, perfect for working from home The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that the garage and a few closets are being used for storage for supplies for the rental that are locked to guests. Please note that Overlook JT is in a remote location, and the last mile to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have large bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area. Please make sure to follow our directions to the house, as following GPS may take you on roads that are not maintained. -Pool Heating Fee- If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. ► May through September - $100/night if needed ► October & April - $150/night ► November through March - $200/night *No fee to heat the hot tub!* -Pool Heating- Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume. -Hot Tub Heating- Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Fireplace- Please note that the fireplace is an electric fireplace insert, not a wood or gas burning fireplace. -Heating & Air Conditioning- There is central heating and air conditioning in the main living areas, and ductless mini split heating and air conditioning in the primary and second bedrooms. The third bedroom (the bunk room) has a window unit for air conditioning. All rooms feel very comfortable in all seasons, we just wanted to make you aware of the various systems. -Dogs- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Local Experiences: Relax, Adventure, Connect- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. For thrill-seekers, explore rock climbing adventures, dune buggy rides, or horseback riding. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Camera- There is a security camera mounted next to the front door in order to monitor the quantity of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances.
