Botanical garden retreat in exclusive Sapphire Shores / Indian Beach in Sarasota. The craftsman home was originally built in 1939 and has been fully updated with tasteful period details that blend in with gorgeous landscaping. Minutes from Ringling, New College, Downtown Sarasota, St. Armand’s Circle & the Beaches at Lido Key & Siesta Key. Just a short walk to the Bay (Sapphire Shores Park) for sunset or outdoor yoga, or just lounge in the private screened lanai surrounded by tropical plants.
We fell in love with this home the moment we first saw it! Sapphire Shores/Indian Beach is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Sarasota...and for good reason! Sarasota Bay is literally across the street, with the charming canopy road lined with multi-million dollar mansions right out of the gilded age. The lovely parks (on the water) at Sapphire Shores and Indian Beach are both a short walk (or 2min) drive away. Downtown Sarasota with its restaurants and boutiques or the world-class beaches at Lido Key & Seista Key are a short drive or bike ride away.
This home was originally built in 1939 and retains all the original craftsman details and quality, while also being fully updated just a few years ago. The home sets on over a 1/2 acre of beautifully landscaped tropical plants and trees. Aside from the giant Banyan, there are multiple mango trees, as well as some younger fruit trees (lemon, lime, grapefruit, fig) that have been recently planted. The setting is very private, aside from our gardener who comes 1x week to care for the landscaping.
The home is set out with great separation between private and public areas. Each bedroom has a private ensuite bathroom, and the master bathroom includes a dual-head shower and a spa bathtub with jets. There’s also a home office and library set off from the working fireplace, and a separate reading room.
What’s provided for your stay: Have fun at the beach with chairs, coolers, umbrellas, toys and more, pre-stocked into the villa prior to your arrival. Each residence has their own Property Liaison to ensure any problems or concerns will be resolved in an effective and timely manner.
