Holmegate House sleeps up to 18 guests and is ideal for multi-generational groups, with a heated outdoor swimming pool (open from April to October), a wood-fired hot tub, games room, roaring fires and two acres of private gardens for memorable stays in total seclusion. Holmegate House, sleeping up to 18 in rural Dorset, offers classic country-house living paired with family-friendly comfort across generous indoor and outdoor spaces. Spend sunny days swimming in the heated outdoor pool, safely fenced and open from April to October, or unwind in the wood-fired hot tub as evening falls. Children can roam freely across two acres of gardens, enjoy the swings, or make the most of croquet, cricket and football on the lawn. Indoors, relax in a welcoming blend of traditional features and modern conveniences. Settle in by the open fireplace with logs provided, enjoy movie nights on the Smart TV or dip into the library of books. The games room keeps all ages entertained with table tennis, air hockey and table football. If you enjoy cooking, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen ready for feeding a crowd, complete with a five-oven AGA, electric hob, two dishwashers and ample fridge space. The large dining table seats 18 guests comfortably, making it ideal for celebratory feasts and long evenings together. On warmer days, take meals outside on the terrace with the gas barbecue fired up and views across the gardens. Holmegate House sleeps 18 guests across eight bedrooms. Bedroom one offers a super king bed with en-suite, while bedroom two provides a super king. Bedrooms three and six can be set up as either super king or twin beds. Bedroom four also features a super king with en-suite, and bedroom five offers a further super king. Bedroom seven is ideal for families, with a super king bed plus bunk beds, sleeping four. Bedroom eight is located in the separate Wing and offers a super king or twin beds with a private bathroom; please note this bedroom does not have internal access to the main house. In addition to the en-suites, the house includes two family bathrooms, a ground-floor bathroom with shower over bath and a ground-floor WC. Guests have exclusive access to Holmegate House, the Wing and the surrounding two acres of gardens and grounds. The swimming pool is fenced and accessed through a lockable gate, with fencing alongside the stream; children should be supervised at all times. Ample parking is available on site, along with an EV charger. We recommend guests use cars to enjoy the surrounding area and Dorset countryside during their stay. Bedroom eight is located in the Wing and does not have internal access to the main house. Hen parties are welcome; the property is not suitable for stag parties. A strict noise policy is in place and fireworks are not permitted. Up to three dogs are welcome at £40 per dog, with a pet policy in place.
