About Courchevel: Courchevel is a winter sports resort located in the Tarentaise Valley and situated in the municipality of Courchevel (formerly Saint-Bon-Tarentaise), in the Savoie department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The first French resort converted into a virgin site in 1946, it is part of the Three Valleys ski area. The resort is organized around five villages: Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (chief town), Courchevel Le Praz (formerly Courchevel 1300), the village of Courchevel (formerly Courchevel 1500), Courchevel Moriond (formerly Courchevel 1650), and finally Courchevel (formerly Courchevel 1850).
