Spread across the top two floors of a characterful village house, Apartment III at La Maison de Talloires offers a charmingly positioned base for discovering one of France’s most picturesque lakeside destinations.
Wander up to the first floor to find a welcoming open-plan living area, where the kitchen, dining and lounge flow together with elegant furnishings and modern features. Three petite balconies provide lovely views of the village and surrounding landscape, perfect for a morning coffee or early evening apéritif. This level also features a shower room with WC as well as laundry facilities.
On the top floor, the sleeping quarters include a main double bedroom with queen-size bed and a flexible room with a double bed and steep steps leading up to a mezzanine with another two singles hidden beneath the sloping ceiling. There is also a family bathroom with an inviting bath tub and both bedrooms feature air-conditioning.
Outside, guests enjoy access to a shared outdoor terrace across the lane, complete with a Weber barbecue and outdoor dining table for four guests, ideal for relaxed summer evenings.
Located in the heart of Talloires, everything is just moments away – the lakeside plage, hiking paths, the summer weekly market, shops and watersports. Rent summer paddleboards, kayaks or bikes, swim from the pontoons or explore the area’s natural beauty with trails further afield leading to waterfalls and viewpoints. Talloires even boasts its own bijou cinema and a renowned spa for those quieter days.
Whether cycling around the lake, paragliding from Col de la Forclaz or simply soaking in the village atmosphere from a café terrace, this 2-bedroom apartment offers an inspiring home base where the rhythms of alpine-lake life unfold just outside your door.

Each Thursday morning in the summer months, the village comes alive with the vibrant colours and scents of the weekly market. Just outside your door, discover a rich array of Savoyard delights from artisanal cheeses and cured meats to honey and local wines. It’s a feast for the senses, offering a genuine taste of Haute-Savoie culture and community.
Summer days unfold at the lakeshore, a mere 5-minute walk away. Lake Annecy, famed for its crystal-clear waters, invites you to swim from pontoons, sail, paddleboard or simply relax on the grassy beach with a book in hand (summer entry fees usually apply for beach access around the lake). Meanwhile, the summer water shuttle glides effortlessly across the lake, offering a scenic route to Annecy’s old town, where cobbled streets and canal-side bistros await exploration.
For the active traveller, the 42km-long Lake Annecy cycle path promises a captivating ride through breathtaking landscapes (it passes the edge of the village), while adrenaline-fuelled adventures abound from paragliding over turquoise waters to scaling cliffs along the Via Ferrata. A short drive away, the family-friendly Acro’ Aventures park offers treetop thrills and nature-inspired challenges.
Nature lovers will be enchanted by the region’s trails and viewpoints, from the cascading beauty of the Angon Waterfalls to the panoramic summit of Mont Veyrier.
