The Old Farmhouse, Honeymead, Simonsbath

The Old Farmhouse, Honeymead is a spacious country farmhouse on Exmoor, sleeping up to 10 guests across five bedrooms and four bathrooms. There are three double bedrooms with en-suites (two with bath and walk-in shower, one with walk-in shower, and two with their own dressing areas), one of which is on the ground floor with level access, plus two twin rooms sharing a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The heart of the house is a large eat-in farmhouse kitchen with an Aga-style stove, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and full-height fridge, alongside a separate utility room with an American-style fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. A formal dining room seats up to 12 guests, and there are several comfortable reception rooms, including one with a wood burner (logs provided) and a grand piano, plus a separate television room, a well-equipped games room and a sunny conservatory with French doors leading outside. Fast WiFi, central heating and electricity are all included, and bed linen and towels are provided. Outside, guests can enjoy tables and chairs on the grass area in front of the house for picnics and barbecues, along with the use of a private tennis court (bring your own rackets and balls). The garden area is not enclosed. Ample parking for several cars is available through the property gates. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (maximum of two), provided they are kept off the furniture and upstairs and are not left alone in the property; a stable yard nearby also offers DIY livery for horses by prior arrangement. A cot and high chair are available on request. The property is suitable for children, though its varying levels may not suit toddlers, and it is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with restricted mobility. Christmas decorations and some festive goodies are provided over the seasonal period.
