Gapperies, West Porlock is a spacious, recently refurbished holiday home sleeping up to 6 guests across three bedrooms. There are two king-sized double bedrooms sharing a large shower room, plus one twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room (please note there is no bath at the property). Everything is arranged on one level with ramp access to the main door, and one of the king-sized beds has been raised to make the most of the wonderful views across Porlock Marsh, the coast and up Porlock Vale. The heart of the home is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a feature wood-burner, comfortable sofas, an armchair and a dining table seating 6. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances including a large fridge-freezer, electric oven, hob and microwave. A television with Freesat and an Amazon Firestick is provided, along with a Bluetooth speaker. Wifi, heating (via efficient infrared panels) and electricity are all included, and a basket of logs is provided for the wood-burner in cooler months. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Outside, a gated drive leads up to the property, which sits in a private, slightly elevated position with parking for up to 3 cars. There is a patio area to the side with conversation chairs, a bowl firepit and swing-arm BBQ grill, perfect for enjoying the sunshine and views. The rest of the garden is a work in progress, with no lawn, and a gardener works on site most Wednesdays. Dogs are welcome (maximum of 3) for a supplement of GBP 20 per dog; cats are also welcome. Please note the garden isn’t fully enclosed, though a driveway gate prevents easy access to the road. The property is suitable for those with restricted mobility, with level access from parking to the front door via a ramp, though the main bathroom corridor may be tight and the raised bed is not ideal for chair-to-bed transfers; it is not classed as wheelchair accessible.
