It is also a 10-minute walk to Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which it is possible to take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat and reach the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). Also on foot, or by renting city bikes, you can reach Villa Olmo and its park by taking the picturesque walk from the Hangar, and Villa Geno by riding along the lakefront Viale Geno. At the beginning of Viale Geno is also the Funicular railway station to reach Brunate and its lighthouse, where you can stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants, or continue with a scenic trek to the Lario mountains, with a break at one of the mountain lodges you’ll encounter along the way.
