Inside | This two-bedroom, one-bathroom charmer features a comfortable, open-concept kitchen/living room/dining area – perfect for gathering with friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials needed to whip up a tasty meal, including a Keurig, pots/pans, dinnerware, a blender, a microwave, and an oven, as well as a full refrigerator/freezer. Relax in the living room featuring a comfortable couch (sleeper sofa), two chairs, and a flat-screen TV with cable/streaming capabilities. The front bedroom is home to a cozy king-size bed with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed and stunning pool views. Plus, you’ll enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer and a full bathroom with a shower bath.
Outside | Catch the sunrise while you are sipping your morning coffee on the private garden patio, complete with a 4-person dining table and two Adirondack chairs. Neighborhood Overview:
South Beach Cabana Down is centrally located approximately halfway down the island and is a quick drive to all of the island’s best dining and shopping.
Within a mile or two, you can enjoy dining and live music at The Surf or Slider’s, or ice cream from several local treat spots.
To the north, you will find Main Beach which features the Salt Life and Sandbar Kitchen restaurants, a playground, and beachside putt putt golf. From there, Amelia Island’s downtown historic district is just a short drive down Atlantic Avenue. There you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, shopping, nightlife and local culture. Fort Clinch State Park is also located along Atlantic Avenue. The park features the 19th century Fort Clinch (still open to the public for tours), a great beach, and lots of beautiful trails for hiking or biking.
The South end of the island boasts several wonderful restaurants, the Ritz and Property Manager resorts, a picturesque canopy biking trail, and charming local boutiques. We recommend checking out the Ritz spa if you are looking for a relaxing treat!
Getting Around:
Amelia Island is a small area and is easy to navigate! There is free parking available throughout the entire island, making driving very easy to any place you choose to visit.
Although Uber/Lyft are not very reliable on the island (we strongly recommend bringing a car), they are available through the app on your smartphone.
Bike rentals are available at "The Beach Store" located approximately one mile north of South Beach Cabana Down. Riptide Watersports also delivers bikes.
Other Information:
• Dog-friendly for up to two dogs! We have a 50-pound weight limit per dog and all dogs must be approved prior to check-in. The pet fee is $250.
• Guests will have access to the private patio and pool. In addition, guests may use the private beach walkover at the property across the street.
• Self check-in via coded smart lock.
• The upstairs of the duplex has 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom and is also available to rent.
• For your convenience, the unit is stocked with an iron/ironing board, washer/dryer, broom/dustpan, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, and beach towels.
• Fresh linens, a starter supply of housekeeping supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, basic toiletries, K-Cups, and trash bags are all included.
