Welcome to Blackwood Bungalow, a newly renovated, single-story West Shore vacation rental situated in an unbeatable location, just a short stroll to the lake and the scenic Tahoe City bike path. Downtown Tahoe City is only a 10-minute drive away.
Step inside this charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath Lake Tahoe retreat through its inviting blue door, and you’ll immediately notice the beautiful decor and modern aesthetic, all while retaining the inviting warmth of a classic cabin. This single-story alpine oasis is flooded with natural light thanks to its open-concept design and vaulted ceilings. The soft blue accents throughout create a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a gas fireplace, and seamlessly connects to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen boasts brand-new stainless steel appliances, a double wall oven, and a gleaming breakfast island with seating for four. Enjoy a meal before taking a leisurely walk down to the lake, where you’ll be treated to stunning turquoise waters by day and mesmerizing sunsets in the evening.
Venturing down the hallway, you’ll discover three beautifully appointed bedrooms. The primary bedroom features an ensuite bathroom and a king-sized bed, complete with contemporary updates. Two additional guest rooms await, one furnished with a queen-sized bed and the other thoughtfully equipped with two bunk beds. These bedrooms share a tastefully upgraded bathroom. All three bedrooms have their own flat-screen TV.
Outside, you can unwind and take in the surroundings on the front deck or the charming paver-stone patio area. The peaceful backyard, surrounded by towering pine trees, offers a serene atmosphere with comfortable outdoor seating and an unobstructed view of the national forest, perfect for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment. The property also offers a shed, ideal for storing kayaks, paddleboards, skis, and more. Lake Tahoe is just a short walk away and you can enjoy access to the private HOA pier, where you can drop a blanket for a picnic meal or set up your chairs to watch the sunset.

To the south, Sugar Pine Point State Park awaits; it’s also reachable in about ten minutes by car or bike. Alternatively, journey 15 miles to Palisades Tahoe, the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. For added convenience, jump on the FREE public transit system and avoid searching for parking as well!

2. Parking for 2 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. 4WD is recommended during the winter months as travel in this neighborhood can be difficult during winter storms.
4. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.
5. Homewood Mountain Resort, located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, will not be opening for the 2024-25 ski season. Please plan accordingly.
