Neighborhood Portimão has something to offer for everyone. The main boulevard along Praia da Rocha beach has many restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and clubs. The charming old town boasts many local shops whereas the commercial shopping center is home to two floors of the familiar big shopping names such as H&M and Zara. Portimão and the surrounding towns offer a stunning coastline of beautiful beaches, charming picturesque towns and great tourist facilities topped with almost perfect weather year-round. You can link up with the main bus service to visit the eastern and western parts of the Algarve. But if you like exploring the surrounding area, we strongly recommend hiring a car. Parking is free at the apartment and in most areas of the Algarve. The very popular Zoomarine park is just a 15-minute drive away in Guia. You will find two other water parks and the Lagos Zoo about 30 minutes by car from the house. Transit There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But buses and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended. Notes ➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9 pm. Late arrivals must be agreed upon before booking! Extra payment at arrival might be required. 9-11pm 30 euros and 11-12pm 50 euros. Check-in after midnight is not possible. ➤ Check-out time: before 10 am ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests’ information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known short as, SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival we shall send to you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us prior to your arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.
