Welcome to Erna and Elgin’s Haus, a delightful and historic gem just off bustling Main Street. Passed down through generations, this cherished home beautifully preserves its original architecture, ambiance, and antiques, reflecting the rich German heritage of Fredericksburg. Offering both privacy and charm, the home features a stunning backyard—an ideal spot to relax with a glass of wine after a day of exploring the town. The Erna & Elgin’s Haus has a fully equipped kitchen, a formal dining room surrounded by multiple antiques, two spacious living areas, one of them providing you with a day bed, two spacious bedrooms with comfortable king-sized beds, and two bathrooms give plenty of room to enjoy a great stay and have a good rest! This beautiful home also provides you access to two bathrooms, one equipped with a gorgeous antique tub, perfect for a weekend of relaxation. You will love drinking a cup of coffee and watching the sun come up from the two front porch swings. ✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $54.13 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional. To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots. Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay. 5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter. 6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems. 7. The City of Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use. 13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental. 14. For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim.
