There is also the very popular Green Point Park, perfect for picnics or walks, or just a place to lie on the grass and read a book - this park is only open during the day and has 24 hour security. Also close by is the famous Sea Point Promenade, which is 11km of beach front, perfect for sunrise and sunset walks. There are plenty of amenities and restaurants nearby and within walking distance. There are also hundreds more restaurants and shops in Sea Point and at The V&A Waterfront, which are both only a 5 min drive away. The area itself is safe to walk around in during the day, and can be quite busy during season, special events and sunny days.
