Tucked away in the leafy charm of Westbourne Gardens, this delightful two-bedroom home sleeps up to five guests and offers a peaceful base moments from the vibrant heart of Notting Hill. With Westbourne Grove just around the corner, (don’t miss brunch at the ever-popular Granger & Co,) and Hyde Park and Paddington Station within easy walking distance, this location is ideal for both leisure and exploration.
Set on a quiet, leafy garden square, this romantic, quintessentially Notting Hill flat occupies the raised ground floor of a handsome period building with high ceilings and large sash windows. Hyde Park and Portobello Road are both within a 15-minute walk, while Westbourne Grove, with its boutique shopping and superb dining, is just five minutes away. Excellent transport links put the West End, Kensington, Chelsea and the rest of the city within easy reach.
The apartment opens into a bespoke handmade kitchen, completely refurbished two years ago and fully equipped with deVOL hardware, new Miele appliances and a large Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer.
Beyond it, the elegant drawing room features floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, comfortable sofas, interesting art, wooden floors and large windows with gorgeous views over the garden square. A desk by the window makes working from home easy, and a smart TV and high-speed wi-fi are on hand for downtime.
The generous master bedroom has a super king bed beneath a beautiful sash window overlooking the leafy garden, with a large wardrobe, antique marble-topped chest of drawers and a dressing table.
Down the hallway, the contemporary bathroom has a walk-in rainfall shower with mosaic tiles and high-end Aston Matthews fittings, plus a sink and WC.
The second bedroom offers a double bed and a library mezzanine with a single bed, with French doors opening directly onto the garden.
The garden itself is large and lush, with rambling roses, jasmine and honeysuckle. There’s seating for six and plenty of space for summer barbecues, outdoor dining or a quiet morning coffee in the sunshine. It’s also ideal if you’re travelling with a pet and want private outdoor space for them to explore.
