Lose yourself in the magic of Seaview Castle, with private access to the beach, unparalleled ocean views and 8 exquisite ensuite bedrooms, the perfect combination for an unforgettable vacation.
Ideally located just moments from the historic seaside resort of Estoril and just 20 minutes from the vibrant and uber-cool city of Lisbon, the enchanting Seaview Castle is the perfect spot for a luxurious sunshine escape. The fairytale-like exterior, complete with magical turrets and wrought iron balconies gives way to a flawless interior, a perfect blend of original features and elegant contemporary furnishings. Originally dating from the end of the 19th Century, the castle was recently restored by architect Manuel Aires Matteus, maintaining its original charm, but with a modern finish.
The lawned gardens complete with a heated plunge pool and breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline, are the perfect setting for long lunches, with glorious sea breezes keeping you cool and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below.
The wrap-around veranda, with the same mesmerizing views, is the perfect spot for breakfast or for escaping with a good book. Stone steps lead you directly down from the garden to the small sandy beach from where you can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters. Inside, there are 8 beautifully decorated ensuite double bedrooms, flooded with natural light and sea views. The original wooden floors give a cosy feel to the rooms and the modern marble bathrooms, some with free-standing bathtub, are the height of luxury.
A large living room and dining room are both furnished with the same understated elegance and allow for entertaining a large group inside during the cooler months.
With the stunning beach of Guincho, a location known for world-class surfing, windsurfing and several championship golf courses nearby there are plenty of activities to keep the sportier guest happy.
Others will simply enjoy losing themselves in the magic of the castle. Either way, it will make for the perfect holiday. This accommodation does not accept groups of young people (up to 25 years).

About the area
Cascais, a coastal gem just a stone's throw from Lisbon, Portugal, is a delightful blend of beach-town charm and historical intrigue. Once a humble fishing village, Cascais has transformed into a sophisticated seaside escape without losing its authentic character.
The town's allure lies in its picturesque setting along the Estoril Coast, where golden beaches meet the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The main beach, Praia da Ribeira, is a bustling hub of activity, perfect for families and sun-seekers. For those in search of quieter sands, the hidden coves of Praia da Rainha and Praia do Guincho, a haven for surfers and windsurfers, offer a more serene beach experience.
Cascais is not just about its beaches; the town's historical heart is equally captivating. Wander through the narrow cobblestone streets of the old town, and you'll discover a treasure trove of quaint shops, traditional restaurants, and vibrant markets. The Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães, housed in a grandiose seaside mansion, showcases regional history and art, while the Santa Marta Lighthouse Museum offers insights into the town's maritime past.
The town's cultural scene is further enriched by the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego, a museum dedicated to the works of the renowned Portuguese artist. Its striking red architecture is a work of art in itself, standing out amidst the town's more traditional buildings.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Sintra-Cascais Natural Park presents a diverse landscape of lush forests, rugged cliffs, and rolling dunes. Hiking and cycling trails abound, leading adventurers to breathtaking viewpoints and historical sites, such as the dramatic ruins of the Moorish Castle and the opulent Pena Palace in Sintra.
Gastronomy in Cascais is a reflection of its coastal location, with seafood taking center stage. Local restaurants serve up fresh catches of the day, from grilled sardines to sumptuous seafood stews. The town's proximity to Lisbon also means that a wide array of international cuisines is readily available.
Cascais is also known for its lively events calendar, featuring everything from music festivals to sailing regattas, adding to the town's vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're lounging on a sun-drenched beach, exploring cultural landmarks, or indulging in the local cuisine, Cascais offers a delightful Portuguese escape that caters to all tastes and interests.
