Technically speaking, Chamberí is not a neighborhood. It is a district composed of six neighborhoods, including: Gaztambide, Arapiles, Trafalgar, Almagro, Ríos Rosas, and Vallehermoso. This indicates that it is a large and diverse district where you can find unique elements such as iconic city restaurants, unique art galleries, and neighborhood cinemas like the Cine Cartago with five screens and open since 1958. Additionally, its streets hide the architectural legacy of the most traditional Madrid aristocracy, who resided here during the 19th and 20th centuries. Chamberí is not a neighborhood of museums, and the advantage of this is that you don’t have to stand in lines to visit, for example, the Sorolla Museum, the house where the painter lived with his entire family since 1911. The Chamberí district is the perfect option if you are looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the most touristy area of the city without losing the possibility of enjoying all the city’s attractions as if you were in the center of Madrid.
You will have a few steps away unmissable alternative plans such as: Ponzano Street where you can enjoy the typical Ponzaning or go for tapas at the city’s top restaurants and bars, visit the ghost station of Chamberí, the beautiful Enrique Herreros Gardens, or visit one of the best-preserved palaces in the city, the Bermejillo Palace, among many other places just a few meters away from the property.
Perfectly connected with the main points of the city. A few steps away, you will have the Iglesia, Quevedo, and Canal metro stations, from where you can access metro lines: L1, L2, and L7 that will connect you to all points of the city or several nearby bus stations that will take you in a few minutes to the main points of interest. Additionally, the city has bicycle, scooter, electric car, and motorcycle rental services.
