Tarka’s Holt Log Cabin is a beautiful retreat set within the spacious gardens of Stowford Lodge, offering magnificent views across the rolling North Devon countryside. With its warm wooden interiors, private hot tub, and peaceful surroundings, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of this idyllic corner of Devon.
The open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area provide everything needed for a relaxing self-catering stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. A large dining table with six chairs sits beside the window. The lounge area is furnished with a comfortable three-seater sofa and a two-seater sofa, along with a digital TV—perfect for evenings in.
The cabin sleeps up to five guests and features three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower room with a shower, hand basin, and WC. A second bedroom offers twin beds, while the third has a single bed with a separate pull-out bed suitable for children. The main bathroom includes a bath with a mixer tap, hand-held shower, basin, and WC.
Outside, guests can enjoy the completely private hot tub. Please note that during changeovers, the hot tub is emptied, cleaned, and refilled, so it may not be fully heated until 8 a.m. the following morning.
Tarka’s Holt also includes full access to the indoor heated swimming pool which is open from April to October. Car parking is located approximately thirty metres away via a gravelled pathway. Pets are not permitted inside the cabin. It is not suitable for wheelchair users.
