This is a beautiful little apartment with everything you need for a stay in the hippest part of Melbourne (the inner north). High ceilings provide a very airy feeling to the apartment, and there’s lots of little touches that let you know you’re in a home, not a hotel. The photos of the unit are old and the sofa couch and carpet have been updated. New photos will be added to the listing soon.

NEARBY TOURIST ATTRACTIONS: (Within 10-15 min walk)
Melbourne Museum
Carlton Gardens
Colonial Square
Royal Exhibition Building
James Alipius Goold Museum
St. Andrews Conservatory
CAFES, BARS & RESTAURANTS:
Fatto Amano (Bakery)
The Catfish (Cool Spot for Craft Beer & Live Music)
Cutler & Co (modern upscale Australian fare)
Charcoal Lane (chic restaurant using indigenous ingredients)
Garden View Cafe
Slowpoke Espresso (hip brekkie cafe with a courtyard)
Fitzroy and Carlton are the hippest suburbs in inner Melbourne. Gertrude St has a bunch of cool cafes and bars (including my favourite bakery, Fatto Amano), and the next major St over (Brunswick St) is the main strip in Fitzroy. It’s worth the walk down to Smith St too (next major one over from Brunswick St) for outlet stores and more cafes/bars. Carlton gardens with the Imax and the Melbourne museum are right across the road and worth a stroll.
TRAM:
86 or 96 trams are the best and closest option.
TRAIN:
Parliament station if you need to go further out of town.
PARKING:
The nearest off-street parking is across the road at Melbourne Museum, which is open daily 6:00am until midnight. The cheaper option is at Metropole Hotel & Apartments (44 Brunswick Street Fitzroy VIC 3065) but we recommend calling ahead to check availability. You can also try Parkopedia. Here you can find available parking in the area and compare prices, as well as book a space, if needed.
KEY COLLECTION:
Lock Box - code will be provided 48 hours prior to check in.
Please note 24 hour check in is possible but early check in isn’t guaranteed as it depends whether a guest is checking out on your arrival day :)
