The Mercer House boasts a beautiful mid-century modern style in a private Stowe Village location—ideal for families and groups looking to enjoy all the fun the area has to offer.
Tucked in the heart of the village, this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has direct access to the Cady Hill mountain bike trails and is walking distance to myriad restaurants, bars, shops, the Stowe Recreation Path, and the winter seasonal shuttle bus to Stowe Mountain Resort—the walkability factor is tremendous!
A secure garage (vehicles taller than six feet will not fit) is ideal for storing bikes and bulky gear and an outdoor hose is a convenient amenity after a day on the trails. The large, tiled entry offers additional space for hanging items and stowing footwear. The main floor of the home features a walk-through kitchen with new appliances, beautiful and well-stocked cupboards, a pantry, bar seating, and a nook with a round table perfect for morning coffee or an evening of cards. The dining room, with a long table to gather up to ten, is adjacent to the living room and separated by a handsome teak partial wall—a beautiful statement piece and nod to the mid-century modern bones of this family home. A den with comfy furniture and a TV leads to the outdoor patio just outside, complete with a table and chairs and seasonal barbeque grill waiting for you to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The flat backyard has winter views looking down to the center of the village for a picture perfect setting! Two bedrooms—the primary with ensuite full bath and a guest room with shared 3/4 bath—complete this floor.
Two additional guest rooms are located upstairs— a twin-bedded room that is perfect for kids, and a cozy queen bedded room adds even more room to spread out. These rooms share a 3/4 bathroom with a large shower. The lower level of the home features a rec area and the washer and dryer. The careful thought and attention to detail in the renovation of this home is evident throughout—tray and vaulted ceilings provide dramatic effect while loads of natural light, lovely throw rugs, and warm toned furnishings invite you to settle in and relax. A great Stowe home!
