A one-of-a-kind mountain-top estate!
Nine Hearths is a special home for holidays, gatherings, and year-round Stowe adventures. The sheer size and amenities make it unique in Stowe, and its comfort and character make it well-loved by guests.
Famously featured on BRAVO’s Winter House – Southern Charm series, and named for its nine fireplaces, Nine Hearths is a stunning property. This exclusive home is situated within a private 18-acre compound and accessed along a rolling drive from a security gate. Highlights of the sprawling property include a private hot tub, swimming pond with dock, manicured lawn, outdoor sculptures, an orchard, a spice garden, hiking trails, and varied woodlands. Perhaps the most coveted feature is the impressive view of Mount Mansfield and the valley below. All of this, and it is located just minutes to Stowe Village and Stowe Mountain Resort.
Designed by award-winning Yale Architect George Hathorn, this six bedroom, six-and-a-half bath home is alluring on many levels. From the moment you step into the atrium-style foyer, you’ll appreciate the thoughtful details and distinctive elements integrated throughout. Carefully selected Americana artwork adorns the walls and high-end furnishings finish the look. A country kitchen opens to a cozy breakfast nook and the first of the fireplaces. A formal dining room, with a woodburing fireplace and hearth for extra ambiance, connects through to a sitting room in the center of the home. A magnificent wall of windows frames the incredible view. An additional living room with fireplace and a marvelous library with comfy leather furniture, cherry-paneled walls and ceiling, and the fourth fireplace are also located on this level.
One of the six bedrooms is located on the main level of the home with a 3/4 ensuite bath making for a convenient and private oasis. Upstairs there are three additional bedrooms connected with an atrium balcony—a primary King suite with walk-in closet and Alpe Verde marble bathroom, and two additional King bedrooms, each with their own 3/4 bath. The lower level is home to another family room with a fireplace, bonus children’s sleeping area, and a game room like no other with foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard, and a pool table. There is also a full bathroom with tub and shower. The final two bedrooms are tucked away in the privacy of the in-law apartment above the garage. This separate and delightfully private in-law apartment comes complete with its own kitchen, full bathroom, and outdoor deck space. Multiple walk-out decks are found throughout the home for everyone to enjoy the stunning view.
This home is a stunner and perfect for your gatherings!
Please Note: At the homeowner’s request, please only use the wood-burning fireplaces in the kitchen, dining room, living room, and lower level family room.
