Bual or Boal is a Portuguese grape variety used for the production of Madeira Wine, widely cultivated during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Bual is part of a group of properties called "The Wine Lodges", located in the heart of the city in a historic building, which houses one of the most important Madeira wine cellars belonging to the iconic Blandy family.
With a decoration thought to detail, where elegance coexists in symbiosis with the building’s history, this property offers excellent comfort and luxury details without equality.
The flat has generous spaces, making it perfect for a holiday with a group of friends or family.
Situated on the second floor, in its total area we find a master bedroom, with double bed and two balconies overlooking the Municipal Garden. The guest bedroom is equipped with two single beds and the living room has a sofa bed for two people.
This property accommodates a maximum of six people.
AREA
The property is located in the noble and central area of Funchal. From this property, you will be able to know all the downtown and main points of interest. This flat is situated right next to the famous Municipal Garden of Funchal and very close to the Funchal Marina and the Municipal Theatre.
In the same building of the property you can visit one of the most important Madeira wine lodges Blandy’s Wine Lodges is open daily for tastings and guided tours. In these same lodges you may get to know and purchase a wide range of wines, which you may later pick up at the airport after passing through customs. Guests of this property have one free ticket per couple.
Another must is the bar and restaurant "1811 Wine Bar", which is located in the same building. Here, you can enjoy unique delicacies accompanied by excellent wines. Our guests are granted an exclusive discount in this fantastic space.
In the city centre there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, activities linked to nature... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!

- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.
