Porto Santo is a beautiful island located in the archipelago of Madeira, Portugal. Known for its main tourist attraction, its long 9km golden sandy beach along the south coast and stunning scenery, this paradise island attracts visitors in search of tranquility, natural beauty and a relaxing atmosphere.
The crystal clear water combined with the fine, soft sand provide a perfect environment for sunbathing and refreshing dips. In addition, the sand at Porto Santo Beach is believed to have therapeutic properties, which attracts visitors in search of health and wellness treatments.
Another must-see attraction is Pico do Castelo, the highest point on the island. Climbing to the top of this mountain offers an incredible panoramic view. It is possible to observe the beauty of the blue sea and the exuberant green vegetation that covers the island. Pico do Castelo also houses historical ruins, remnants of a fortress built in the 17th century.
The town of Vila Baleira, the island’s capital, is also worth a visit. With its cobblestone streets, colorful and charming houses, this historic town, dating from 1418, offers a charming atmosphere. In the center of Vila Baleira is the Christopher Columbus House-Museum, an old house that houses a museum dedicated to the famous navigator.
Besides the attractions mentioned, Porto Santo Island also offers opportunities for water activities such as diving, sailing, and windsurfing. There are also a variety of restaurants serving delicious local cuisine.

The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
-We inform that a Municipal Tourist tax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Porto Santo. All guests staying in tourist developments and / or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged 2,00€ per person/night, up to a maximum 7 nigths stay/ 14€ per person. Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee.
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
