Guest Amenities:
This property is exceptional for its views and natural charm, and the cabin was built to take advantage of all this while also offering games and activities indoors, a quality dining experience year-round, and a high-tech entertainment system, as well as many exciting extra features.
The property features an amazing view off the back deck, including an oversized hot tub on the patio (situated perfectly for stargazing) and comfortable outdoor seating for the whole family.
The cabin is well-stocked with board games, a retro arcade-style video game cabinet, ping pong and air hockey tables, and a generous selection of books.
No expense has been spared in home entertainment! Enjoy all your favorite movies with two large-screen streaming TVs, loaded with movie and TV apps, and boasting a surround sound system. This cabin also features a multi-zone Sonos sound system to enliven any activity.
While restaurants are convenient, home is much closer. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. Dining spaces easily accommodate large gatherings, with dishes and comfortable seating for up to 12 (though that is by no means a hard limit). Also available is an outdoor barbecue grill and alfresco seating on the large back deck.
Built for family fun, this cabin sports several fun little extras, including a slide off the back porch and a hammock (available in the warm months), a playroom hidden in the bunk room, a gas fireplace in the great room, a gas fire pit on the lower patio and a wood fire pit in the backyard (must sign firepit agreement before use). If you somehow have more guests than beds, an RV pad with full hookups is convenient to the garage.
Other things to note:
This property is the perfect place to get away from it all, and the surrounding area is ideal for hiking, climbing, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and horseback riding. The neighborhood itself backs onto Dixie National Forest, which is full of ATV trails. It is also centrally located between Bryce Canyon and Zions National Park (~45 minute drive), as well as being close to Cedar Breaks National Monument, Red Canyon State Park, and Brian Head Resort. Nearby Navajo and Panguitch Lakes offer additional recreational opportunities.
Limited shopping and dining options are available in nearby Duck Creek Village. A little farther away, you will find more options in Panguitch, Kanab, and Cedar City.
Unlike many neighborhoods in the area, Elk Ridge is easily accessible via paved roads which are fully maintained and cleared of snow 12 months a year."

About the area
Duck Creek Village, nestled in the heart of Southern Utah, is a picturesque mountain retreat that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Surrounded by the Dixie National Forest and near the edge of the Cedar Mountain Plateau, this charming village is a gateway to a natural wonderland, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
One of the main attractions of Duck Creek Village is its proximity to some of Utah's most stunning scenery and outdoor adventures. The village serves as an excellent base for exploring the nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument, with its colossal amphitheater of red rock spires and canyons that rival the grandeur of the more famous Bryce Canyon. The monument's high elevation offers cool respite during the summer and spectacular snowscapes in the winter.
For those who enjoy hiking, Duck Creek Village provides access to a network of trails that meander through lush meadows, aspen forests, and alpine landscapes. The Virgin River Rim Trail is particularly noteworthy, offering breathtaking views and a chance to spot local wildlife. Fishing enthusiasts will find Duck Creek itself, as well as the nearby Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake, to be excellent spots for casting a line in pursuit of trout.
In the winter months, the area transforms into a snowy playground, with opportunities for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The village's elevation ensures a consistent blanket of snow, making it a reliable destination for winter sports.
Duck Creek Village also appeals to those interested in the rich history of the American West. The village is a short drive from the historic town of Panguitch and close to the remnants of ancient Native American civilizations, such as the Anasazi ruins at the edge of the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument.
Accommodations in Duck Creek Village range from cozy cabins to luxurious lodges, ensuring that there's a comfortable place to stay for every type of traveler. The village itself exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with local shops and eateries that offer a taste of mountain hospitality.
In essence, Duck Creek Village is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape and a wealth of outdoor activities. Its stunning natural beauty, combined with its friendly community and proximity to some of Utah's most impressive landscapes, makes it a destination that truly stands out for those seeking adventure and relaxation in the great outdoors.
