Cosy 1-Bedroom Cottage Retreat in Oxfordshire

We welcome you to stay in Hathaway Cottage, our charming and quintessentially English home in the Oxfordshire village of Hook Norton, situated just on the boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! As you walk into the cottage, you will be instantly welcomed by our beautiful kitchen and living area, offering cosy and light spaces to relax in. The living room also boasts a beautiful fireplace and comfy seating - an idyllic setting for cosying up with a good book or a long-overdue catch up! Our kitchen is fully equipped, so if you’re looking for a romantic night cooking together or rustling up a big breakfast after a great evening in the local pub, you’ll have all the basics you need! Upstairs, we then have our double bedroom, the perfect space for resting up after a busy day of exploring the local area (or a long lie in!), and a lovely bathroom with a bathtub! Outside we have a beautiful courtyard with outdoor seating to soak in the sun with your morning coffee, or an ice-cold drink on a warm evening. Please note that our garden has shared access so our neighbours do have the access to go through the courtyard but the seating and space outside belongs only to the cottage. You will not be stuck for things to eat and drink in the village, with its still-operating Victorian brewery (Hook Norton Brewery), The Pear Tree Inn Pub and The Sun Inn Pub but we also have nearby market towns just a short drive away, including Shipston-on-Stour, Banbury and Chipping Norton. We are also only a short 20 minute drive from Soho Farmhouse, Cotswolds Distillery, Daylesford Organic Farmshop, Diddly Squat Farm and Bamford Wellness Spa and 40 minutes away from Silverstone race track & Bicester Village Designer Shopping Outlet. **Important: To help protect our homes and guests, we may require the lead guest named on the booking to complete an independent ID verification process prior to arrival. It’s nice and easy, taking less than 5 minutes to complete. Please note this MUST be completed by the named booker. If completed by someone else, we will request for the verification to be resubmitted. Failure to complete this process correctly may result in the cancellation of the booking. Please note: We verify your details before your booking can begin and this must be completed 48 hours prior to your stay. You’ll receive a secure link to our deposit, damage waiver and ID verification platform to complete this step. You’ll be given the choice between paying a fully refundable £300 deposit (with a small, non-refundable £5.00 fee to cover payment processing fees) or purchasing a non-refundable £30 damage waiver, which protects you against accidental damage up to £300 during your stay. Check-in information will only be sent once this is completed.**
