Ty Log Llansteffan in Newport

Ty Log is a lovely log cabin in a fantastic location close to the Carmarthen coast near Llansteffan. The cabin is  surrounded by peaceful views of green fields and landscaped gardens - an idyllic escape. Ty Log is an absolute gem .  Green Castle Woods is less than a 5 minute drive which is a great haven for wildlife and carpeted with bluebells, wild garlic and other wildflowers in springtime. There are also hay meadows, an area of wet pasture, a stream and a delightful waterfall. The whole wood is criss-crossed by centuries old hedges, walls and sunken lanes. Llansteffan and its 2 sandy beaches is only four miles from Ty log, with a Norman castle above the village, where there is a store with cafe and pizzeria, two pubs and a small art gallery. Only ten minutes away by car is the county town of Carmarthen. The ancient town, believed to be the oldest in Wales is steeped in history, myths and legends. There are a wide variety of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as a choice of supermarkets, a cinema, bowling alley and the Gwili Steam Railway. Please note that the ponds are not fenced off and therefore Ty Log may not be suitable for children under 8 years of age. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. Having two holiday lets within the six acres of land has the advantage of families and friends coming away together but having their own space to retreat to. ACCOMMODATION Ty Log sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms: 1 king size and 1 twin. The property is all on one level apart from the mezzanine with a sofa bed and is suitable for wheelchair users. MEZZANINE Stairs lead from the ground floor to a balcony where there is a sofa bed, two armchairs and a second TV. It is perfect either as a kids’ den or somewhere parents can escape to read or sit and enjoy the view. DOWNSTAIRS Bedroom 1: king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: twin beds, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bathroom: wet room with anti-slip surface, toilet, hand basin. Bathroom 2: anti-slip shower enclosure with, toilet, hand basin. Open plan area with… Living room: 3-seater sofa, armchair, TV, log burner Kitchen area: Full size oven with induction hob and extractor, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Dining area: dining table and chairs for 4 OUTSIDE Ty Log is a former working farm, with guests having access to the grounds which include ponds (unfenced) and a landscaped sensory garden. The deck has furniture so guests can sit outdoors, and there is secure storage for bikes, fishing rods, etc. There are two parking spaces next to the cottage, with a level path leading to the front door.
