Casa Chelimen is a true property gem, located in an area of exceptional natural beauty where the rocky seafront meets the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea, and where rocky coves and pools abound. An area of pure escapism and, yet, just a walk away from the hustle and bustle of Arenal de Jávea, Cala Blanca is one of the most sought-after holiday destinations in Jávea due to its variety of coves, rock pools and some of the best coastlines for snorkelling in the region.
The house itself is conveniently distributed on one floor, with high ceilings and double-aspect windows, the space feels bright and airy, while the beautifully decorated interior gives it a beachy atmosphere. An elevated front terrace extends from the large closed Naya, and both offer fabulous views of the sea and coast up to the cliffs of Cap Prim. Inside the naya, an open-plan living/dining room with a music system makes it the best of entertainment areas, with folding glass doors that open to the terrace, giving the entire front of the house a pure ’al fresco’ feeling.
The main lounge is beautifully decorated again and is spacious and bright, with a modern living area, TV and a traditional wood-burning stove in the corner. Both double bedrooms are spacious and bright with high ceilings and built-in wardrobes. A single room offers its guests an additional French-style sofa bed, with scattered cushions and beach touches. The bathroom and kitchen are equally modern, with porcelain tiles and polished chrome brass utensils. Leaving the kitchen towards the back of the property there is an outdoor shower and an integrated barbecue area, and further ahead there is a small lawn, facing west and the last rays of the setting sun...

About the area
Xàbia (also known as Jávea), a coastal town in Spain's Costa Blanca, is a gem that offers a delightful mix of historical charm, natural beauty, and modern amenities. Nestled between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao, Xàbia is divided into three main areas: the old town, the port, and the beach area, each with its own unique allure.
The old town of Xàbia is a journey back in time with its narrow, winding streets and gothic buildings, such as the fortress-like Church of San Bartolomé. This area is a testament to the town's rich history, with its ancient walls and historical museums that provide insight into the lives of its past inhabitants.
The port area, known as Aduanas del Mar, is a bustling hub where fishing boats and yachts coexist. It's a perfect spot to savor fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The port also features the modernist Casa del Cable, which now serves as an exhibition hall.
For beach lovers, the sandy Arenal Beach is the main attraction with its palm-lined promenade, lively bars, and restaurants. The clear blue waters are ideal for swimming, while the surrounding coves, such as Granadella and Portitxol, offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving.
Nature enthusiasts will be drawn to the Montgó Natural Park, which towers over Xàbia and provides a stunning backdrop to the town. The park is a haven for hikers and wildlife watchers, with its diverse flora and fauna and panoramic views of the coastline.
Xàbia's microclimate is considered one of the best in the world by the World Health Organization, making it an ideal destination year-round. The town also hosts various cultural events and festivals, such as the lively Fiesta de San Juan in June, which celebrates the summer solstice with bonfires and fireworks.
For those interested in art and architecture, Xàbia does not disappoint. The town has inspired many artists, including the famous Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, who captured its landscapes in his works.
In summary, Xàbia is a destination that offers a harmonious blend of historical depth, natural splendor, and a vibrant contemporary lifestyle. Whether you're looking to explore its cultural heritage, relax on its beautiful beaches, or enjoy outdoor activities in a picturesque setting, Xàbia caters to all tastes and preferences.
