You’ll have access to your private apartment, offering complete privacy and comfort. Additionally, you can enjoy the shared rooftop terrace, which features seating and lounge areas with stunning ocean views, as well as an additional washroom. During the day, the terrace is open to all building residents. Outside of these hours, the rooftop is reserved exclusively for you and one other unit, providing an ideal space for quiet evenings under the stars.
We’re walking distance to restaurants, shops and nightlife (and palm-tree lined Art Deco sun-soaked streets make for easy strolling), but if you’re looking to venture further there are a lot of options.
• PUBLIC TRANSIT: There is frequent public transit (bus stop a 4 minute walk) connecting to most anywhere in Miami, as well as the free trolley bus running throughout the island until midnight.
• AIRPORT TRANSIT: To come and go from Miami International Airport, the cheapest option is the Miami Beach Express (Route 150) which is $2.65 and approximately a 45 minute drive in a comfortable air conditioned bus with luggage racks. Otherwise, Uber and Lyft are fast, plentiful and legal in Miami.
• BIKING: Miami Beach has wonderful beach and bay boardwalks to bike along. Citi bikes available nearby for rent (a 1 min walk). Drop off at another of the many stations throughout the city (30 minutes for $4.50), enjoy for the day ($24 for the day) or for the month $35 for one month unlimited 60-minute rides.
• WALKING: Miami Beach is a very compact and walkable city. We’re directly in front of the oceanfront boardwalk, which you can stroll along to reach both the Mid Beach and North Beach neighborhoods.
• The apartment is located on the 4th-floor rooftop of a historic hotel. The elevator services only the first three floors, so you’ll need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the apartment. We recommend taking the elevator to the 3rd floor, then walking up the final flight to the rooftop.
• This is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment (over 400 sq. ft.), ideal for 2-3 adult guests but able to accommodate up to 5. We recommend full capacity for short stays only, as it may feel like a slumber party. The in-unit bathroom is connected to the bedroom, so anyone sleeping in the living room will need to pass through the bedroom to access it. Alternatively, you may use the shared bathroom on the terrace just outside the apartment.
• As this is a historic building with newly refurbished interiors, please be aware that the walls are on the thinner side. We kindly ask guests to keep noise levels low. Loud music is not allowed at any time, and quiet hours are enforced. Note that security cameras monitor the exterior areas of the building.
• Tropical pests are common in our area. We conduct regular preventative pest control, but it’s still possible that a critter may sneak in. Please help us keep them out by keeping windows and doors closed.
