McCaysville, Georgia, nestled along the banks of the Toccoa River, is a charming small town that offers visitors a tranquil escape with a unique twist. This picturesque destination is known for its natural beauty, outdoor activities, and the special experience of standing in two states at once, as it shares a city border with Copperhill, Tennessee.
One of the town's most notable attractions is the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, which begins in the nearby town of Blue Ridge and winds along the Toccoa River to McCaysville. The journey offers stunning views of the Appalachian foothills and the river, making it a favorite for those who appreciate scenic rides through nature.
