Reserved for guests you will find a private beach, a true privilege that will allow you to totally relax, and the swimming pool, shared between guests, which offers a unique view over the bay of Positano. The beach can be reached via 180 steps. There is no shortage of green spaces where typical local trees, plants and flowers such as olive and lemon trees thrive. The spaces are accessible via the typical 70 stairs that characterise the Amalfi Coast area.
The value of this property lies in its history dating back to 1905, when it was purchased by Alfred Pattinson, and later became the property of the sisters Raimonda and Fausta Gaetani (Ammaniti’s mother), well-known designers. Torre Sponda reflects their unmistakable style, harmonising the refined elegance of the past with the natural beauty of Positano. The rooms, with breathtaking views of the sea, are a reflection of refinement and comfort, enriched by the famous local ceramics, handcrafted fabrics and fine furnishings.
Positano is a magical place and every corner is an invitation to discover a little more, be it art, nature, history: a boat trip along the coast is an experience not to be missed, the narrow streets of Positano are perfect for a relaxing stroll, among craft shops, fashion boutiques and cafés with a view. For nature lovers and hikers, the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) offers breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast, with a route that winds between mountains and valleys, providing spectacular sea views. Positano is the ideal starting point to explore other wonders of the Amalfi Coast, such as Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano and the famous island of Capri.
We strongly recommend using the services of local porters to transport luggage for a fee. Upon request, a private transfer service can be organised for an additional fee. Subject to availability, early check-in and late check-out is possible (for an additional fee). A twice-weekly cleaning service is included. We recommend using the Di Gennaro Car Park, located about 5-10 minutes’ walk from Torre Sponda.
The villa has a private terraced garden, furnished with tables and chairs, perfect for dining al fresco in front of the breathtaking view or simply relaxing on deck chairs.
The interior spaces are characterised by a well-furnished kitchen-living room with sofa and television, the kitchen has all the necessary utensils: microwave, dishwasher, washing machine.
The sleeping area consists of 2 bedrooms with a queen-size bed with access to the outside. There are 2 bathrooms with shower.
