About the area
The house is located precisely in Via Delle Grazie, in the heart of the characteristic “Graziella” district. The location is ideal for reaching most of the places of interest in Ortigia. A few steps from Piazza Duomo, 250 meters from the famous Ortigia market and just 200 meters from the tourist port, where you can admire yachts and sailboats from all over the world, where to enjoy a beautiful sunset or stroll among bars, restaurants...
Ortigia, a Unesco heritage site, easily transformed into a natural fortress with marinas and was large enough to hold a significant population in ancient times. The history of Ortigia is therefore synonymous with the ancient history of Syracuse. Walking through Ortigia, allows you to find yourself in front of numerous sacred buildings, characterized by mixed architectural styles, between the Sicilian Baroque and the Jewish Israelite style, with elements that date back to the medieval and Renaissance periods. These architectural styles are also demonstrated throughout the narrow alleys and winding streets that make up the neighborhood. In the immediate vicinity you can savor the tastiest dishes the island has to offer. If your appetite calls for tasty typical Sicilian specialties, just go downstairs to find numerous local options.
