Located on the seafront, in the seaside resort of Cala Vinyes, in the southwest of Mallorca, sits this impressive five-bedroom villa. With almost every room drenched in sunlight from French doors and large windows, this villa is bright, airy and full of life. On the ground floor, the spacious lounge is all tasteful décor and easy comfort with marble flooring, whitewashed walls and large sofas overlooking a glorious terrace and panoramic sea views. A huge TV and state-of-the-art wireless sound system make this the perfect room for a family or friends to socialise and relax in.
Leading off from the living area is an inviting dining room with deluxe sea views and a table that seats ten people, while the separate kitchen is professionally kitted out with modern appliances, including three fridges and even Nespresso coffee machines! There’s also a Jacuzzi room with its own chill-out area on this floor. From the ground floor, stairs lead up to the first floor, where the five bedrooms are located. Interiors are fresh, rooms are generously sized, and all have their own sleek bathroom and wonderful terrace access where you can while away the hours gazing at the turquoise blue Mediterranean waters. Extra home comforts include air-conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite TVs and iPhone/ iPod speakers.
The master bedroom is sublime with its own private terrace, en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and an additional bathroom with a massage shower. While the indoor space is appealing, when it’s warm, you’ll want to spend your time outdoors. During the day, soak up the sun on a lounger, bop in the infinity pool or enjoy a good book on one of the shady terraces. With no distractions here, you can do as you please. But come dinner time, you’ll want to congregate around the large outdoor dining table for an elegant bite to eat.
Afterwards, pull up a comfy chair and digest your meal while gazing trance-like at the panoramic views. And as the sun dissolves into the sea, you can even enjoy a spot of stargazing through the telescope. While the villa is located in a delightfully quiet spot, it’s handily located just 300m from a sandy beach. It’s also within walking distance to all amenities, including restaurants, bars, supermarkets, tennis courts and a diving centre.

Location:
Villa Porrassa is located on the seafront in the tiny resort of Cala Vinyes, in the southwest of Mallorca. Backed by the Serra de Tramuntana and flanked by carob and almond trees, the villa offers guests complete privacy and fantastic sea views. A selection of bars, cafes and supermarkets are all within walking distance from the villa. It is also just 300 m from Cala Vinyes beach.
Cala Vinyes is a small and quiet resort and popular with families. Its International Blue Flag beach is fringed by shady palm trees and has shallow, clean water and excellent facilities. After a peaceful swim here, you can enjoy a bite to eat at the chiringuito or beachside restaurant. For a great day out, head to the mooring next to the beach and hop on the special ferry that takes you into the capital, Palma. Alternatively, it’s a 15-minute drive from the villa. Dating back to the thirteenth century, Palma is full of historic buildings, narrow lanes and a tree-lined promenade and harbour. There’s plenty to see and do here but be sure to stop at Palma Cathedral. The cathedral dates back to the fourteenth century and is one of Mallorca’s most historical landmarks. Known as the Cathedral of Light, its 63 stained-glass windows flood the building with coloured light, with the most spectacular being the central rose window. Afterwards explore the old town with its museums and art galleries, then stop at The Mercat de l’Olivar, located in the heart of Palma, and browse the stalls packed with fresh fruit, herbs, fish and meat.
If you prefer to be surrounded by natural beauty, Calvia is just a 15-minutes drive from the villa. Hidden away in the hills, Calvia is the starting point for a number of mountain trails. Explore the area on foot or mountain bike, and afterwards, stop at a café and soak up the old-world charm and ancient architecture of this historic little town.
Although Cala Vinyes is wonderfully tranquil, the neighbouring resorts of Palmanova and Magaluf offer noisier distractions with their popular bars and nightclubs attracting a young and boisterous crowd. For more sophisticated nightlife, head to Porto Portals. It’s 10-minutes away by car and features what is considered to be the most glamorous marina on the island. Dine at one of the many portside restaurants, enjoy a drink at one of the cocktail bars or simply admire the super yachts bopping on the water.

About the area
Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands, is a Mediterranean gem that offers a delightful blend of history, culture, and seaside relaxation. Located on the sunny island of Mallorca, Palma is a city where ancient alleyways lead to grand cathedrals, and where the rhythm of the sea is never far from reach.
The city's crowning architectural jewel is La Seu, the majestic Palma Cathedral. This Gothic masterpiece, with its stunning rose window and wrought-iron canopy by Gaudí, dominates the city's skyline and is a testament to Mallorca's rich history. Nearby, the Almudaina Palace, originally an Arab fort, serves as a reminder of the island's Moorish past.
Palma's Old Town is a treasure trove of historical landmarks, boutique shops, and hidden courtyards. Strolling through its narrow streets, visitors can discover the Arab Baths, remnants of the city's Islamic heritage, and the lively Plaza Mayor, which hosts markets and street performers.
Art enthusiasts will find plenty to admire in Palma. The Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art showcases works by Spanish and international artists, while the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró offers a glimpse into the life and work of the renowned artist who made Mallorca his home.
For those seeking a taste of local life, the Mercat de l'Olivar and the Mercat de Santa Catalina provide a sensory overload of fresh produce, seafood, and local specialties. Palma's gastronomy is a highlight, with tapas bars, seafood restaurants, and patisseries serving up Mallorcan delicacies like ensaimada and sobrasada.
The city's marina and promenade are perfect for leisurely walks, with the option to embark on boat trips around the island's stunning coastline. The nearby beaches of Playa de Palma and Illetas offer golden sands and crystal-clear waters for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports.
Palma's nightlife is vibrant and diverse, with everything from chic rooftop bars to traditional tapas joints. The Santa Catalina district, in particular, is known for its lively atmosphere and is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
In essence, Palma is a city that offers a rich tapestry of experiences. From its historic heart to its modern cultural scene, and from its bustling markets to its tranquil beaches, Palma is a destination that truly caters to every traveler's desires.
