Enter the main level with just one step from the parking area onto the deck. The spacious living room greets you with a soaring, exposed-beam ceiling and is furnished with an appealing mix of contemporary and mid-century style that combines into effortless mountain chic. Cozy up around the gas fireplace and watch your favorite shows or read a book. Guests who have to bring a little work along with them can set up a laptop on the live-edge workstation by the stairs, as well!
Prepare delicious meals or quick snack in the fully equipped kitchen featuring modern open-shelve storage, granite counters, and stainless appliances, and enjoy your treats at the 3-seater kitchen bar or around the 6 seats of the kitchen table.
Time for bed? A great night’s sleep is guaranteed in any of the three King bedrooms here! The main level features the primary suite with King bed, TV, corner chair, and ensuite bath with a tiled shower. Upstairs you’ll find two more King bedrooms, each with a TV, and between them is a shared second bathroom with tiled shower.
Step outside and let the mountain breeze refresh your soul. At over 4,000 elevation, everything is cooler up here! The outside of the cabin offers as much as the inside. Enjoy a sectional couch, rockers by the outside fireplace, a suspended daybed swing, a gas grill/smoker combination, smokeless Breeo firepit, and a hot tub under the stars!
With everything Three Bears Retreat has to offer, you may not want to leave once you arrive! If you do venture out, though, you’ll find yourself in the peaceful gated community of Monteagle, just 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Banner Elk, 20 minutes to Beech or Sugar Mountains for year-round outdoor fun, and less than 45 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad, Boone, Appalachian State, and Blowing Rock!

• Checkout by 10am
• This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing a pet or requesting an exception to this rule.
• Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
• No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
• Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
• No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable.
• 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter- it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. No refunds are given if you are not prepared for winter weather.
• Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions.
• Host is not responsible for items left in the home.
• Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions sent by Host (property manager) within 60 days of arrival.
• Firewood for the outdoor firepit may be purchased with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
