Set amongst the rolling hills of Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany, this property makes an idyllic holiday retreat for family and friends. A traditional Casa Colonica, or country villa, plus a barn conversion, with commanding views over beautiful countryside, this property has something for everybody.
The property includes the ground floor of the villa, with a converted barn, just 15 meters away, set in private gardens with a private swimming pool, surrounded by olive trees. It can sleep 12 people in comfort. The ground floor of the villa has a spacious living and dining area which opens onto the garden. The separate, modern kitchen, with a traditional terrazzo floor, is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, drip coffee machine and kettle.
In the barn, guests can also relax in the open-plan living/dining area with a small kitchenette. The outdoor space has been arranged with as much care as the interiors. The private swimming pool is on a stone terrace with lovely views over the valley. There are several sun-loungers with parasols and shaded seating, for guests to truly relax and enjoy their beautiful surroundings. There is a pergola and outdoor dining area just outside the villa, with further parasols and sun loungers for guests.

In the villa on the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: This charming bedroom with terracotta tiled floors, a wardrobe, a desk and chairs. Shuttered wooden doors lead straight out into the garden.
Bedroom 2: A spacious, bright bedroom with a large double bed, a painted wardrobe as well as an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3: This bedroom has 2 single beds
There are 3 further bedrooms in the barn:
Bedroom 4: in the upper level of the barn: A bright corner bedroom with a double bed and large windows looking out over the countryside.
Bedroom 5: Modern and spacious, with a separate entrance and only from the garden located on the garden level of the barn, this room has an area with a large double bed and closet, a living area with a kitchenette and a private bathroom.
Bedroom 6: in the upper level of the barn: This pretty room has 2 single beds and painted furniture.

The owners live on the upper two floors of the main villa, with a separate entrance. They have two well-behaved dogs who live on the property.
Location
This villa is perfectly located to allow guests to explore the very best of central Tuscany. Central Florence is just 40 minutes away by car. The smaller, but just as beautiful, city of Siena is 1 hour and 10 minutes. The town of Gaiole in Chianti is just 1 hour away. Cited as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, it is also home to the Badia A Coltibuono vineyard. Here visitors can sample and buy some of the best local wines, take cookery classes or simply relax and enjoy the famous restaurant.
There are hundreds of excellent restaurants throughout Tuscany, but if guests are keen to cook for themselves, the local markets are not to be missed. Florence’s famous San Lorenzo market, daily, (45 minutes) is packed with fresh vegetables, fruit and local delicacies.
For some retail therapy, try The Mall Firenze in Leccio (40 minutes), an Aladdin’s cave of outlets from designer brands including Armani, Gucci and Fendi. The closest airport is in Florence, just a 35-minute drive away.
