LOCATION
We are in the Rione Ponte, one of the most ancient and central of the Eternal City. Here have lived important people like Michelangelo, Raphael, Benvenuto Cellini. It is named after the nearby Ponte Sant’Angelo which gives access to the Castle with the same name: one of the most charming monuments in Rome. The whole history of Rome is written in the stones of Castel Sant’Angelo, first it was the grave of the emperor Adrian (123 A.D) then it became a fortress protecting the city until it became a prison, a court of law, the residence of the Pontiffs. Today it can be entirely visited and hosts small events and kermesse. Noteworthy is the Pinwheel of Castel Sant’Angelo, a fireworks display scheduled every 29th June which you can enjoy from our terrace from a privileged position to say the least. Via Paola is an ancient street surrounded by alleys and squares full of charm and history. An intimate and lively atmosphere will make you feel part of the Roman everyday life among historic artisan shops, small boutiques and characteristic restaurants.
