Set on the hillside looking over Lake Garda, this attractive apartment for 2, Alice House, is an ideal base for people who want to explore this beautiful region of Italy.
On the second floor of a modern residence, the apartment is tastefully decorated with contemporary pieces. The open living/dining room is furnished with an L-shaped sofa, flat-screen TV and a dining table. Two sets of French windows open onto the covered balcony. The balcony enjoys panoramic lake views and is furnished with a café-style table and chairs for relaxed meals al fresco. There is also a sofa and coffee table where guests can read and appreciate their peaceful surroundings.
Back inside, the open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and a Mokka coffee maker. There is a breakfast island with stools for quick snacks.

Location
On the western side of Lake Garda, the apartment is a 5-minute drive from the lake shore, on the edge of the town of Gardone Riviera. Gardone Riviera is known for Vittoriale degli Italiani (2 minutes) and other sites associated with the famous writer Gabriele D’Annunzio. The picturesque town of Toscolano-Maderno (8 minutes) is dotted with cypress trees, olive groves and lemon groves and has a pretty harbour bustling with colourful boats and ferries.
There are many different restaurants and cafés; and for self-catering, Toscolano Maderno’s weekly market (Thursday morning) provides excellent local produce to cook at home.
For a day by the lake, there are several beaches nearby including Rimbalzello Spiaggia (5 minute drive). Each beach offers a choice of water sports, including canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and diving. There are many other activities in the surrounding hills and mountains, including climbing, trekking, mountain bike trails and horse riding. There is also a golf course just 15 minutes away.
Visitors can explore the lake with one of the many ferry services that leave from Gardone Riviera’s port (5-minutes drive).
The closest airport is Milan Bergamo, approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes drive from the property.
