Royal Arthouse - Tribunali Luxury Suite is an 18th Century apartment restored to its original artful splendour and decadently furnished to capture all the opulence and elegance of the Naples Baroque era. The apartment is located on Via dei Tribunali, the epicentre of the historical centre of Naples and home to the most famous pizzerias of Naples - Pizzeria Dal Presidente and Pizzeria di Matteo….both a Naples establishment.
Lady Mary’s Suite is 180 square metres (1,938 square feet). The décor of this charming apartment, endowed with antique furnishings and ceilings that tower as high as 6 metres, gives the apartment an air of unrivalled splendour.
Each room is different both in size and décor, with period furniture and drapes of silk brocade. In addition, the apartment has a large picture gallery of works by the Neapolitan School and the Gruppo Sud, an art restoration organisation. Lamps and chandeliers are antique or rebuilt with original elements.
Reminiscent of the luxury and magnificence of a bygone era, all rooms in Tribunali Luxury Suite enjoy access to either an internal balcony overlooking the central courtyard or Via Tribunale. The apartment opens onto a small entry alcove which continues into the drawing room, furnished with books and antique wooden décor. From here you continue into the sitting room with two classical armchairs and a comfortable double sofa bed.
The highlight of Tribunali Luxury Suite is the living and dining space, grandeur in size and with lavish interiors thanks to the original wall fresco and pieces of period furniture. Down a vestibule hallway you will reach the kitchen and main sleeping quarters of the apartment.
The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, oven, dishwasher and all the necessary utensils required should you wish to cook a home meal. There are two decadent double bedrooms, the master with ensuite bathroom and both bedrooms are with a private balcony overlooking Via Tribunale. The main bathroom is also located off the hallway and consists of a bathtub with shower over, bidet, WC and wash basin.
The residential building where the apartment is located forms part of a fifteenth century courtesy building, and is accessed through a large and extravagant stone courtyard. The façade features unique Rococo decorations, defined as one of the most precious of Naples. The wide open staircase made of stone, is attributable to Ferdinando Sanfelice, a renowned 17th Century architect and painter, and circles the internal courtyard of the building up four levels.
The apartment itself is located on the third floor and is accessible by lift. Tribunali Luxury Suite enjoys all the necessary comforts including Wi-Fi internet access, satellite TV, hair dryer and separate wash room with washing machine.
Lady Mary’s Suite is a rare find, with its neoclassic decorations and furnishings, fresco murals and antiques, and can be likened to a stay in a Baroque museum. Location Tribunali Luxury Suite is located on Via dei Tribunali, the epicentre of the historical centre of Naples and home to the most famous pizzerias of Naples - Pizzeria Dal Presidente and Pizzeria di Matteo….both a Naples establishment.
By day, the street is filled with shops and markets, with many pizza restaurants blending into the graffiti filled streetscape. At night, the street comes to life. There are people strolling. There are people eating. There are even people moving furniture. The neighbourhood itself feels like a small and picturesque village within the city. The atmosphere is very lively with small narrow streets offering a mix of residential and retail with markets, craft shops, museums, churches, cafes, bakeries, pastry shops and excellent restaurants and pizzerias.
There’s a real ’buzz’ to the place. San Gregorio Armeno is only a 5-minute walk from Tribunali Luxury Suite, and is the epicentre of Italy’s Nativity scene tradition. Neapolitans flock to this street in the lead up to Christmas, however all year round the shops along Via San Gregorio Armeno are open and make and sell both the detailed Nativity structures and the many figurines that inhabit them.
Spaccanapoli is just around the corner and is teeming with life. There are plenty of artistic and cultural attractions to visit nearby including San Gregorio Armeno, the church of Santa Chiara, Piazza del Gesù, Piazza San Domenico and entry to the must see Roman-Greco underground city of Neapolis.
Lady Mary’s Suite is well-connected to the city’s other cultural and historical spendours, either on foot or by bus and subway. Within minutes you can walk to the Angevin, the Beverello (where ferries and hydrofoils to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast depart), Via Toledo/Roma for shopping, Via Caracciolo and Castel dell’Ovo for the funicular (cable car) to the more elite Vomero district, Certosa di San Martino and Castel Sant ’Elmo.
Piazza Garibaldi, the location of Naples’ central station is only a 15 minute walk away.
Naples Capodichino Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

Naples, Italy, is a vibrant city teeming with life, history, and culture. It's a place where the past and present coexist harmoniously; ancient ruins stand alongside bustling urban life, and the scent of freshly baked pizza fills the narrow cobblestone streets. The city is situated along the coast, with the breathtaking beauty of the adjacent Bay of Naples and distant Mount Vesuvius providing a stunning backdrop.
The rich history of Naples is one of its most captivating features. The historic center of the city, which includes neighborhoods like Spaccanapoli and Quartieri Spagnoli, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with centuries-old churches, palaces, and monuments. A short distance away from Naples are the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum that offer an unparalleled insight into life in ancient Rome.
Naples' culinary scene is world-renowned. As the birthplace of pizza, pizzerias are scattered throughout the city serving this iconic dish in its original form: thin crust topped with San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and olive oil. Exploring local markets reveals fresh seafood offerings, ripe produce and local delicacies such as buffalo mozzarella.
Art enthusiasts will find much to admire in Naples' many museums and galleries. The National Archaeological Museum boasts one of the world's finest collections of Greco-Roman artifacts while Capodimonte Museum displays works by Italian masters like Caravaggio and Titian.
